Hi, I'm Amy

You might know me on Instagram as Girl Club Design. It’s my corner of the internet where I get to share my latest digital art and typography - so go check it out if you haven’t already.

Although I love the digital world, I love it even more when my designs come to life as prints. The smell of wet ink alongside the feel of paper fresh off the press is truly orgasmic!

Like most designers I’ve worked to briefs and deadlines my entire creative career (mainly in the retail fashion industry). Fed up with being restricted, I started Girl Club as a space for me to take a whimsical approach to my work and create whatever I want, whenever I want.

AMEN to that!

If I’m honest, the main thing that made me take the leap and set up Girl Club was the loss of both my parents in 2019 and 2020 and some other soul destroying life lessons along the way. I feIt like I lost everything; my confidence, hope, a grip on reality. It was (and still is) hard.

At the start of lockdown here in the UK, it hit me - one thing I haven’t lost are my creative skills. I also realised that I need to start doing what I love as much as possible, there are no do-overs after all. NONE.

After a kick up the arse from some amazing pals, I took the leap and started Girl Club as a way to share my daily artistic challenges. It reignited my passion for super colourful illustration and typography, and gave me a way to share the little phrases that have helped me get by - it’s so much cheaper than therapy.

Now I’ve decided to take it up a notch and make some of my favourite Insta posts available as prints, and here you are browsing my shop. Great to have you here btw!

My stuff isn't designed for everyone - in fact it wasn't designed with anyone in mind - but if it resonates with you I hope you’ll buy it, enjoy it and show it off!

I'll be adding and updating what’s on offer every now and then so be sure to check back regularly and have another butch.

Remember, be kind and be cool. Everyone is going through something.

Amy
